The band will play afterwards, and the entry is free.

Synopsis

What does it mean to be an independent band today?

Despite critical praise and a dedicated following, finishing every tour is a small miracle for independent band Her Name is Calla, because of the lack of money. Through their shows, music, and misadventures, the viewer gets a glimpse of what it means to make music and the struggle of being an artist today.

The 28 minute documentary follows them in various cities around Europe, which are shown but remain unnamed as there is often no time to do any sort of tourism, and as such become interchangeable for the band and the viewer.

The voice of the singer Tom Morris acts as a guide in the second part of the movie and was recorded during the tour.

The band

Her Name is Calla is a five-piece band based in Leeds, UK. They have released 2 albums (The Heritage and The Quiet Lamb), and tour regularly in the UK and Europe.
